RETURN TO THE AXIS

RETURN TO THE AXIS

The “Return to the Axis” series was created to show why, in Dźwiękopunktura™, we do not begin with a single symptom, but with recognizing the condition of the whole organism. Each short piece develops one aspect of this approach and shows how working with the body changes when we first look for the axis, rhythm, and the possibility of regulation.

THE AXIS FIRST — THEN THE THEME

This space gathers the next parts of the “The Axis First — Then the Theme” series. Each text shows a different aspect of working with the organism: from moving away from symptom-based thinking, through recognizing the condition of the body, to creating the conditions for regulation. Below, you can explore selected themes.

STAGE I — BREAKING THE OLD WAY OF THINKING

This stage shows the shift away from seeing the body as a collection of symptoms to be removed. Instead of asking, “what should be used for this symptom?”, we begin to ask what condition the whole organism is in and whether it has access to its axis.

I_1 WHY I NO LONGER SHOW POINTS FOR SYMPTOMS >> see more

I no longer show points “for a symptom” because the same symptom may arise from completely different states of the organism. In Dźwiękopunktura™, the whole picture must be recognized first: tension, rhythm, direction, and the possibility of returning to the axis — only then is the way of working selected.

I_2 A HEADACHE DOES NOT SHOW WHAT THE ORGANISM NEEDS >> see more

A headache is information, but the symptom itself does not yet tell us what the organism truly needs. First, we need to see the state of the whole system — tension, rhythm, overload, and the possibility of returning to the axis — only then can the right direction of work be chosen.

I_3 THE SAME SYMPTOM — DIFFERENT STRATEGIES  >> see more

The same symptom does not always mean the same problem. Two people may have similar pain, tension, or fatigue, but their organisms may need completely different strategies — this is why, in Dźwiękopunktura™, the condition of the whole system is recognized first, and only then is the direction of work chosen.

I_4 WHY THERAPY MAY CAUSE A WORSENING  >> see more

Therapy may cause a worsening not because the organism “reacts badly,” but because the impulse was given at the wrong moment or was too strong for the body’s current capacity. In Dźwiękopunktura™, we first need to check whether the organism has an axis, resources, and space for change — otherwise, even a good technique may become another burden.

I_5 THE BODY IS NOT A LIST OF SYMPTOMS >> see more

The body is not a list of symptoms that can be ticked off one by one. Every symptom is part of a larger story of the organism — its tensions, overloads, resources, and lost axis. This is why the work begins with the whole, not with a single point for a single problem.

I_6 THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MODERN THERAPIES >> see more

The biggest mistake of modern therapy is the belief that what works should work quickly, strongly, and without first recognizing whether the organism still has the resources for change. Meanwhile, the body does not always need another stimulus — sometimes it first needs to regain its axis, a sense of safety, and the possibility of regulation.

I_7 WHEN THE ORGANISM DOES NOT WANT TO COOPERATE >> see more

The organism does not “refuse to cooperate” without a reason. Most often, it is overloaded, compensating for too long, or no longer has a sense of safety for another change. Then there is no need to press harder — first, conditions must be restored in which the body can begin to respond.

I_8 NOT EVERY DISTURBANCE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED >> see more

Not every disturbance needs to be removed immediately, because sometimes it is the organism’s way of maintaining a minimum of balance in difficult conditions. In Dźwiękopunktura™, the most important thing is first to see what the body is trying to protect, compensate for, or maintain — and only then decide whether something should be released, strengthened, or gently reorganized.

I_9 WHEN THERAPY MOVES TOO FAST >> see more

Sometimes therapy does not cause harm because it is wrong, but because the process has been accelerated too much. The body may not yet have the conditions to sustain deeper change. In Dźwiękopunktura™, we first try to restore stability, and only then gradually introduce movement.

I_10 THE SYMPTOM DOES NOT SAY WHAT THE BODY NEEDS >> see more

A symptom shows that something is happening in the body, but it does not yet tell us which direction of work will be appropriate and safe. The same symptom may require a completely different approach, depending on the state of the whole system. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first try to recognize the state of the body, and only then choose the direction of work.

II_1 NOT EVERY TENSION WANTS TO BE RELEASED >> see more

Not every tension in the body is a problem that needs to be removed immediately. Sometimes tension becomes a way of maintaining stability and protecting the whole system. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first try to restore the body’s axis and sense of safety — only then can deeper release become possible.

II_2 NOT EVERY RELAXATION SERVES THE BODY>> see more

Not every tension should be removed abruptly, because sometimes it is the last mechanism keeping the body stable. Strong “unblocking” may bring temporary relief, but in some people it can later lead to even deeper dysregulation. That is why good therapy does not begin with force — it begins with restoring the body’s sense of safety.

II_3 RELEASING TENSION IS ONLY TEMPORARY RELIEF>> see more

Relief after therapy does not always mean that the body is ready for lasting change. If the body does not yet have an axis and a sense of stability, it often returns to old patterns of tension. In Dźwiękopunktura™, creating a new support for the body is more important than relaxation itself.

II_4 WHEN TOO MUCH IS NOT HEALTHY>> see more

Tension in the body is not always a problem — sometimes it is a way of maintaining stability and control. That is why aggressive “unblocking” may deepen chaos in some people instead of leading to regulation. The body first needs safety, and only later can it truly let go of what it has been holding on to for years.

II_5 WHEN TENSION SERVES TO MAINTAIN CONTROL>> see more

Sometimes tension gives the body a sense of control and protects it from inner chaos. That is why releasing it too quickly may be perceived by the body as a threat, not as help. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first try to create the conditions for the body to regain a sense of safety.

II_6 NOT EVERY STAGNATION NEEDS TO BE MOVED>> see more

Stagnation is not always an error that must be removed immediately. Sometimes a state of holding is an attempt at protection — like temporary support for an old house, which first needs to be secured before its distortions can be corrected. In Dźwiękopunktura™, we first observe whether the body has an axis and sufficient resources. Only then can stagnation be moved safely. It is not only about technique. It is about the right moment.

II_7 THE BODY SAVES ITSELF THROUGH STAGNATION>> see more

Stagnation in the body is not always an error that needs to be broken through immediately. Sometimes stopping becomes a way of protection and of maintaining the remaining fragments of inner stability. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first try to see whether the body has an axis and safe conditions for movement.

II_8 BODY ENERGY DOES NOT ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECTION>> see more

Energy alone does not always mean that the body is truly moving forward. Without an axis and a clear direction, even strong activation can turn into chaos, tension, and inner fragmentation. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first seek to restore the body’s axis—the one that allows movement and energy to be guided safely.

II_9 FATIGUE DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN A LACK OF ENERGY>> see more

Fatigue does not always mean a lack of energy or that the body needs stimulation. Sometimes the body is tired because it has been sustaining tension, control, or inner effort for too long.In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first try to identify the body’s current state—and only then determine the direction of intervention.

II_10 A LACK OF DIRECTION LEADS TO DISPERSION>> see more

The body may have energy and yet lack a direction in which it can guide that energy safely. This is when chaos, dispersion, and a sense of constant movement without genuine change emerge. In Dźwiękopunktura™, I first seek to restore the body’s axis and its inner direction of action.

II_11 WHEN THE BODY LOSES ITS VECTOR >> see more
The body may have energy, yet not know which direction to channel it in. This leads to chaos, dispersion, and a great deal of movement that does not produce real change. In Dźwiękopunktura™, the first step is to restore the body’s axis and inner direction of action.
II_13 WHEN THE BODY LOSES ITS RHYTHM >> see more

Sometimes the body is exhausted not because it lacks energy, but because it has lost its inner rhythm and order of functioning.
It no longer knows when to regenerate, when to act, and when to let go. In Dźwiękopunktura™, regulation begins by restoring the body’s axis and rhythm.

II_14 WHEN THE BODY LOSES TRUST >> see more

Sometimes the body rejects regularity not because of a lack of discipline, but because rhythm was previously associated with pressure and overload.
Even good practices may then be perceived as yet another demand.

In Dźwiękopunktura™, regulation begins by restoring the body’s axis and rhythm.

II_15 A DISRUPTED RHYTHM DISTURBS EVERYTHING >> see more

A disrupted bodily rhythm is more than ordinary fatigue or a lack of energy.
Sometimes the body loses the ability to shift between movement, rest, and regeneration at the right moment. In Dźwiękopunktura™, the first step is to restore the body’s axis and its ability to return safely to rhythm.

II_16 GDY ŻYJESZ PRZECIWKO WŁASNEMU ORGANIZMOWI >> see more

Constantly mobilizing the body does not always reflect genuine strength and readiness to act.
Sometimes the body continues functioning despite prolonged overload, until it begins to lose touch with its own rhythm and natural cycle of regeneration. In Dźwiękopunktura™, regulation does not always begin with stimulation; sometimes it begins by restoring the body’s axis and rhythm.

II_17 ORGANIZM POTRZEBUJE PRZEWIDYWALNOŚCI>> see more

The body settles not when everything is perfect, but when it begins to recognize rhythm and predictability.
Constant changes, bursts of effort, and repeatedly starting over can become a source of overload and chaos for the body.In Dźwiękopunktura™, regulation very often begins with restoring the body’s axis, rhythm, and sense of safety.
